I'm Ada Wogu, and I run The Optimized CEO from Toronto, Canada. This policy explains what this website, theoptimized.ceo, collects about you, why, where it's kept, and what you can ask me to do with it. If you have a question or a request, email me at hello@theoptimized.ceo.
I don't sell your personal information, and I don't share it for anyone else's advertising.
What you give me through forms
I only collect what you type into a form yourself. Here's every form on the site:
| Form | What it collects | Why | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Contact form | First and last name, email, your message | To read and reply to your message | Wix, ActiveCampaign, and an email notification to me (sent through Resend) |
| Newsletter signup | Name, email | To send you the newsletter | ActiveCampaign, and an email notification to me (sent through Resend) |
| Pricing guide | Name, email | To send you the guide and related emails | ActiveCampaign, and an email notification to me (sent through Resend) |
| Blog alerts | First name, email | To email you when a new post goes up | ActiveCampaign, and an email notification to me (sent through Resend) |
| Systems quiz | Name, email, your answers and your result | To show your result and send emails related to it | Wix, ActiveCampaign |
| Masterclass and webinar registration | The details the form asks for, such as name and email | To register you and send event emails | ActiveCampaign |
| Blog comments | Name, your comment | To show your comment under the post. Comments are public. | Wix, and an email notification to me (sent through Resend) |
| Reader polls on blog posts | Your vote, plus a random ID saved in your browser (no name or email) | To count each vote once | Wix |
| Testimonial form (by invitation) | Name, email, business, role, website, photo, voice recordings and written answers, and how you chose to let me share them | To feature your story, only in the way you chose on the form | Wix, and an email notification to me (sent through Resend) |
When you book a call, the booking happens on my client portal (portal.theoptimized.ceo), which runs on Dubsado. Proposals, contracts and invoices also live there.
What's collected automatically
Google Analytics. I use Google Analytics to see which pages people visit and how they found the site. It collects things like the pages you view, your device and browser, your approximate location (city or country, not your address) and the site that sent you. It uses cookies to do this. You can opt out with Google's opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.
Hosting logs. Like any website host, Vercel records technical details of each visit, such as your IP address and browser, to keep the site running and secure.
Instagram feed. The Instagram feed on the homepage is loaded from Curator.io, which may set its own cookies.
Saved in your browser. The site saves a few small things in your own browser (not on my end): that you closed the masterclass pop-up, a draft of your answers if you're filling out the testimonial form, and the random ID that stops a poll from counting your vote twice. You can clear these any time by clearing your browser's site data.
Emails from me
If you sign up for the newsletter, the pricing guide, blog alerts, the quiz or an event, you'll get emails from me through ActiveCampaign. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also email me to be removed. ActiveCampaign may record whether an email was opened and which links were clicked, which helps me see what's useful.
Who helps me run the site
I use these services to run the site and my business. They only get the information they need to do their job:
- Vercel: Hosts the website
- Wix: Stores blog content, images and form submissions
- ActiveCampaign: Manages my email list and sends emails
- Resend: Sends me an email when a form is submitted
- Google Analytics: Measures how the site is used
- Curator.io: Shows my Instagram feed on the homepage
- Dubsado: Runs call booking, proposals, contracts and invoices on portal.theoptimized.ceo
Beyond these, I share your information only when you've said I can (for example, a testimonial you chose to let me feature), or when the law requires it.
Where your information is kept
I'm based in Canada, but several of these services store information on servers in other countries, including the United States. When your information is stored there, the laws of that country apply to it.
How long I keep it
I keep your information only as long as I need it for the reason you gave it. You stay on my email list until you unsubscribe. I keep contact messages and quiz answers as part of my business records. A testimonial stays featured until you ask me to take it down. Whenever you want something deleted, email me and I'll delete it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask me to show you the personal information I have about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. You can also withdraw a consent you've given, like permission to feature your testimonial. Depending on where you live (for example, Canada, the European Union, the United Kingdom or California), you may have other rights under your local privacy law too.
To make a request, email hello@theoptimized.ceo. I'll reply within 30 days. If you're not happy with how I've handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the privacy authority where you live.
Children, security and links
This site is meant for business owners and isn't aimed at children under 16.
I use reputable services and limit who can access your information, but no website can guarantee perfect security.
The site links to other places, like my social media, my client portal, Google Docs and Canva. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
If what the site collects changes, I'll update this page and the date at the top. Questions are always welcome at hello@theoptimized.ceo.
